ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This is a residential workshop consisting of 2 half days and 4 full days. Hosted by The Mandala Retreat Center in Mandrem, Goa. A magical and tranquil center for healing, arts and transformation. In the duration of this workshop Natalie & Daniel will guide you through a beautiful and intensive journey of opening up the breath and body, and releasing specific belts of tension in the body through active meditations, sound, movement, group & partner exercises, conscious connected breathing and more. There will be laughter, play, tears, connection and lots of expansion.
This fully experiential retreat is designed to break through layers of body armouring; releasing mental, emotional & physical resistance and stress from your nervous system and cellular memory. As a result, you will intimately reconnect with your true essence and bring about a deeper connection to others, whilst creating internal space and a sense of vitality. This practice allows the stuck ‘fight or flight’ response to be completed in a safe and supported environment, this in turn brings about the unlocking of enormous amounts of energy which was previously used for contraction and holding.
We will be working with felt sense, somatic experiencing, titration, resonance & rapport to move into the deeper realms of trust and surrender. We will explore authentic expression through movement, play and voice. We will look at the interruption and the armouring formed around the heart, opening up to love and connection. We will give and receive support with a partner in our breathwork journeys.
This workshop is suitable for those who wish to deepen their understanding of body oriented therapy. It is also suitable for those interested in a full BBTRS training as an introduction to the work, or for those who wish to explore their own inner world, release long held tension and trauma from the physical and emotional body and enter into a deeper presence with themselves and others.
THE MANDALA RESORT
We are delighted to be bring BBTRS to the beautiful Mandala Resort in Mandrem, Goa. The Mandala pride themselves on being a unique destination created by artists & designers from around the globe, where comfort meets nature in harmony, and laid back atmosphere and serenity are a priority.
The Mandala is a very special little hideaway in North Goa, not too far from the beach, yet tucked away enough to feel like a private island with no through traffic from the beach. The Holy tidal lake of Lord Vishnu, skirts the property and the backwaters run behind us. No noise reaches The Mandala except the sound of waves in the distance, and the sound of birds and animals. There is absolute peace here.
The Mandala is a short walk to two of the most serene, less-crowded and beautiful beaches in Goa, Mandrem beach & Asvem beach. A short drive north to colourful and vibrant Arambol. And to the south, Morjim.
A perfect place to combine a transformational retreat and a relaxing holiday whilst absorbing the beauty of incredible India.
*Please Note – The Mandala is located in lush Goan greenery, so it is highly likely that you may get to meet some of nature’s friends…. Insects, frogs, geckos etc. And, as in most of India, there are occasional power cuts and a more basic infrastructure than you may be used to.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATORS
Natalie Keany • UK
11 years ago, Natalie began to travel the world, exploring alternative therapies and various healing modalities with the intention of self-healing. She had been struggling with depression, anxiety and addiction for many years due to old childhood traumas and the repression of emotions associated with this. During these years of self-exploration, she trained in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, Kinesiology, Reiki, different forms of breathwork, & herbal medicine. In 2013 she was introduced to the Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release System. This was the healing modality which allowed her to work with her own trauma, to fully release in a safe, supported environment, and to ‘come home’ to her body and essence. Life has never been the same since. The work had such a phenomenal and lasting effect on her that there was a natural and dedicated transition into learning and sharing this work with others.
Natalie went on to train with the BioDynamic Breath and Trauma Release Institute and continues to work with them on their worldwide trauma healing trainings. Natalie’s passion lies within the realm of releasing the old to make space to discover the infinite, unrealized potential which exists within each of us. She has a devotion to working with childhood trauma, addiction & depression, and sees herself as a living example of how this work can change lives. Her own personal journey of transformation has led her to believe that the breath in its very nature is like alchemy, it has the possibility to assist us in transmuting past trauma into precious and unique gifts.
She facilitates individual and group sessions, as well as being a part of the BBTR Institute’s support team. Natalie is mostly based between Europe, Australia and Asia where she works with individuals and small groups, as well as collaborating with other practitioners in lovingly designing workshops which provide a safe & fun space for participants to explore, expand, release & transform.
